About

I’m an artist.

I spent years designing sweaters, ghost-knit for Tajuca where a Coty Award was won. My jewelry, like my sweaters are always one of a kind and over the top. My large sensuous paintings of women are in numerous private collections. In the 1990s, I curated and ran the Paul/Sanger Fine Art Gallery specializing in 20th century American art. From there I moved on to designing jewelry and have been doing so ever since.

My jewelry is designed with both precious and semi-precious stones, metals and fine crystals. On occasion, I will use vintage pieces and vintage clasps. The jewelry is opulent and all about color and proportion. The medium combines My love of color, texture and line with her desire to constantly create.

Entertainment Tonite correspondent Maria Menounos wore a necklace I designed to the Latin Grammies and my work has been featured in Daily Candy.

Many pieces are presently in private collections across the United States and in Europe. In addition to my online store, Carolyn Zapp jewelry is for sale in the following shops:

Upstairs on 7th in Washington D.C.
Stonover Farm Gallery in Lenox, Massachusetts
Midday Gallery in Englewood, New Jersey
Anything Goes in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

On special request, jewelry can be designed by private commissions.
